I have seen the Cybex SwitchView in action, and heard good reports
from the people who were using them. I'm planning to give Cybex a
try myself.
FWIW, I wondered at first how much "smarts" such a device had to
have (why it had to be more expensive than an A/B switch).
Some reasons:
o to be able to do the switching from the keyboard
o to handle such things as convincing each connected computer
that it has a live device on its keyboard port; that is,
to avoid the BIOS beeping "keyboard error", refusing to boot
A KVM switch is certainly cheaper than a second 21" monitor!
