Here is a copy of the e-mail this group kindly forwarded to me a couple of
months ago while I was trying to use a Belkin OmniCube connected to Win95,
RedHat 6.0 and NT. My problem was that every time I switched back to the
Linux box from Windows my keyboard and/or mouse would become disabled.
Hope this helps

Subject: Re:NO MOUSE OR KEYBOARD
I have been using a switchbox (not Omnicube) to switch between my Intel
and Alpha systems. Both run Linux, but the Intel box dual boots to
Windows95. I have been using the switchbox for a couple of years.
One problem I observed when I was running Windows is that the mouse driver
in Windows would make changes such that the mouse would be either very
slow or fast on Linux to where I had to change the settings on the Window
manager. The only other problem is that if I switched while in the ARC
console, the keyboard would be programmed incorrectly. One thing to check
closely is the mouse speeds on both windows and Linux. Make sure both
systems are the same baud rate. Probably thw quickest way to check is
through GPM in text mode, which is much quicker than changing XF86Config
and restarting X.
