http://www.cpan.org is more of a code repository then a documentation home.
http://www.perl.com has all the goods on Perl as far as other kinds of
resources (like docs) go. Check out the "Perl Reference" box right on the
main page. There is a "Tutorials" entry in the "Learning Perl" subsection.
Also, the core Perl documentation is pretty good, as language documentation
goes. You can find it in nice, neat, HTML form at
http://www.perl.com/pub/v/documentation
