  There are advantages and disadvantages to it.  The problem is really
indicative of a lack of functionality in the Internet mail system.  There is
no standard way to indicate that a message came from a mailing list.  It would
be nice if there were standard headers that indicated what mailing list a
message came from, what the list's posting address is, what the list owner
address is, and how to unsubscribe from it.  It would make things so much
easier.
