There's a patch that you have to apply to the kernel for this. It came
up on Linux-Kernel a month or two ago, however Linus refused to apply it
to the source treee claiming that it only allowed people to continue
writing bad code (fixing the symptoms not the problem if I remember this
all correctly). Take a look at the l-k mailing list archives at somewhere
like www.tux.org and try searching on this.
