There shouldn't be a problem as far as network degradation. A
10Mbps network should handle it just fine. The bottlenecks would be 1) the
database 2) the hardware of the machine that is serving the apps and 3) the
PC's that are connecting to it.

I don't see why not. Unfortunatly, I know nothing about building a
fax server.
