I was minding my own business, playing The Sims in windows and I got this
wonderful idea to run defrag and scandisk all went well until I tried to
boot into linux and BAM! I get something like this:
Partition Check
hda: hda1 hda2 < > (now hda1 is windows and hda2 is the extended
partition but I should have a hda5 and hda6 also which is where linux is)
then it says
attempt to access beyond end of device
and then some other stuff I didn't take the time to write down word for word
So obviously if lilo can find the kernel image to get that far my data is
still there buy it seems the partition table is messed up or something?
I'm really quite lost here so any help would be greatly appreciated
