Well, if it's not to complicated, and doesn't contain a lot of graphics, you
could try running it through pdf2ps, then ps2ascii. Then edit it.
Of course, if they're using Windows, then it would be a whole lot easier to
get a copy of the acrobat distiller sw and use that.
I remember SunOS/Open Windows used to come with a PS editor similar to
Ghostview, except you really *could* edit the PS file. I don't know of
anything similar under Linux.
