The cards are identical in all aspects except one: they have different
MAC addresses. Mediaone registers your MAC adress and will not allow an
unregistered NIC to obtain an IP address. There are two things that you
can do to remedy the problem: 1) Make the original NIC eth0 or 2) call
Mediaone and change the MAC address that they have registered. If
neither of those things solve the problem, feel free to e-mail me and I
