I thought about that, since part of the kernel install is make modules;
make modules_install. The only problem that I came up with is that there
are some modules that come from other programs. I guess the only way is
to `rm /lib/modules/<kernel rev>` before building the kernel and
re-`make install` all of the programs that make their own modules.
