  CD-R, right? Not CD-RW?

Your disc is ruined. Try again. I recommend the "-dummy" switch.

If *any* error occurs during *any* part of the recording process, the entire
CD-R medium is ruined. CD-R works by heating the medium up with a high
intensity laser, physically changing the form of the media at the point under
the laser. This can only be done once. If anything goes wrong, the laser
cannot "back up" and try again, so the disc is no good.

Well, maybe not "no good". They make good coasters. :)

  On a wall.... ;-)
