get off on this MS bashing kick. They live in 2 different worlds, the
everyday user and the technical users. I personally think Gates and crew
have done amazing things given the user population that is their market.

A good job at falling into a niche, then stomping the competition, and
ruining the companies and very lives of the competition through some
*VERY* questionable tactics.

or any community for that matter that can match what he has done. I
always find it amusing when I see people pointing at the blue screen or
the bugs, but at the same time I don't see their name on any huge
software success' out there. When you can do it better, and prove it by
selling it, then you can throw stones.

What, marketing? Gates is *NOT* the programming genius you make him out
to be. He has *surrounded* himself with programmers while he did/does
mostly marketing, even the original DOS was not all his doing and M$
stole windowing from Apple. And I'm not throwing stones that are not
deserved, Gates tries to buy a name for himself with his "charitable
foundation", but even that I fear is mostly for publicity. I have a
respect for my competition, something Gates obviously lacks.

Now that was well said.
