Somebody mentioned that this was controlled by a configuration option.
Also, I have noticed that if I mention a specific document on the
command line, staroffice will not take over the whole screen when it
(eventually) starts up.
soffice foo.doc
My pet peeve is that it always obscures the document with two other
windows (a style menu and something else), which I have to move out of
the way. Also, it fails to correctly read bulleted lists in a
PowerPoint presentation -- a pretty serious flaw.
The StarOffice 5.2 beta test programs are supposed to stop working on
June 30. However, they are not shipping 5.2 yet. Anybody heard when
it's due out?
