WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. Justice Department official said on
Wednesday the United States would ask the Supreme Court to
directly
review the Microsoft Corp. (NasdaqNM:MSFT - news) ruling in an
effort to reach a ``quick and effective resolution'' of the case.
