I'm playing with Applix on a Debian box. I was thrilled to see that the
manual lists Debian as a supported platform, not so thrilled to find out
that there's no *.debs and only *.rpm files.

Has anyone installed Applix into Debian? If so, how did you do it?

I'm guessing that by Debian support Applix is *not* referring to
installing itself into a Debian system properly, by using the dpkg database
scheme. I'm also guessing that their Debian "support" means just copying a
bunch of files across the drive and having things work afterwards. Anyone
know for sure?

Also, how is the actual Applix install? Does it keep all of itself under
one subdirectory tree in a sane order, or is this going to leave "cruft" all
over my drive when I remove it later? Words of wisdom from experienced
Applix users would be greatly appreciated, TIA.

 Regards,
 .
 Randy
