I hate to revisit this problem, but I just can't seem to solve it.
I have installed Apache version 1.3.11 as recomended as a fix, but .to
no avail
I have a directory /home/httpd/html If i put my site files in the html
directory it gets servered no problem. If i create a sym link ( ln -s
/home/tara/html) to my web designers /home/tara/html directory
all i get is:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Apache/1.3.11 Server at skywizard.com Port 80
I have tried every combination of permissions I can think of on the sym
link.......but to no avail.
Yes read permission is set by owners groups and users on all the
designers directories and files.
I need to be able to do this so that the designer can post her latest
site files and have them served, with out my haveing to copy everything
form her directory to /home/httpd/html. I have even tried changfing the
document root in the httpd.conf file and that gives me the same message

I am at a loss ( I hate to go to NT but I know I can set up ftp access
for the designer if I post the site with IIS)
