hi my first choice would be to setup a directory definition

<Directory "/home/tara/html">
    Options Indexes ExecCGI FollowSymLinks MultiViews
    AllowOverride none
    Order allow,deny
# this next option could be any domain or host or even ALL
    Allow from all
</Directory>

then make your symlink    ;-)   Rob F.
