Well, I'm trying to gear up for some presentations later this month.
Since these are all about Linux I thought I'd try to use Linux for the
presentations. This is proving problematic.
First the machine. It's an IBM ThinkPad 770 and I'm running RedHat 6.2
I can't get the Xircom REM56G100 working. Well, I have the Ethernet
running. PCMCIA messes up Red Hat's LinuxConf.
The sound won't work. I've run sndconfig but it can't find the card. I
tell it I have the only Crystal Audio on the list but it still can't
find it. I went over to Windows and got the full list of addresses and
IRQ's. I properly configured that and still no sound. I've read the
file on the CS4232 but the device keeps responding "device busy"
regardless of the IRQ's, etc I specify. Any suggestions?
Finally. For my presentation I need a rolling demo. Possibly with an
AVI or two, certainly with some slides and a freelance type
presentation. What are my options in the Linux space?
Thanks for any help or suggestions. [EMAIL PROTECTED]
