OK so now we need more data. Does the number of partitions increase with age, 
or does the the number of partitions corrolate with starting date ?  If I live
to a ripe old age will I have a couple of million 512k partitions ?  Can the
kernel  handle that ?  I've read that we can expect icons to grow beyond 16x16
pixels as Bill Gate's eyesight goes.   What happens when Linus gets old ?
