All my experiences with Future Domain controllers have been bad. I
assume that your Seagate drive has been low level formatted. One thing
that SCSI contraollers do for you is to perform the low level format with
bad block detection.
It is possible that the old Future Domain cntroller just does not
understand the newer hard drives, but I would find that hard to believe.
