O.k., my old Deskjet is providing me with very streaky output, so I
guess it's time to get a new printer. I'm looking for recommendations
from the group. I'd like a printer that:

  * is completely compatible with Linux
  * produces excellent quality text output (I mostly print text)
  * produces reasonable graphics output
  * is reasonably inexpensive
  * if at all possible, understands PostScript

Recommendations as to what to specifically AVOID are also very welcome.

=8^)

You know that everytime I try to go where I really want to be,
It's already where I am, cuz I'm already there...
