i guess the initial problem i gathered from the writer of the /. post
was he/she felt they were outside the group , not part of it...
first off im not the most outgoing person so if it were "Me" id feel
somewhat intimidated walking onto a room of 20 people and saying ....
"hi my name is Bla bla bla" but id be more apt to grab a pen and put
my name (or AKA) on a sticker and stick it on my forehead "punn
intended" to let everyone know who i was and that if they wanted to
greet me, they could say ... hi , "blah" ive seen you on the list.
i would have a very hard time remembering who i introduced myself
to or what their name was in the first place ... but a name tag can
be easily seen and my memory refreshed ... i know it sounds geekish to
wear a tag but what the Hell ... Geeks are "IN" in the 21st century.
i know persons that have been in the group for some years wouldnt see
the point, but ALL in ALL the new users/members Have not.

Just my 2 cents + interest Rob F.
