I remember my first LUG meeting - i think i had some of the sentiment that
the /. writer had. I didn't know a soul there and luckily recognized
Maddog. At one of the other meetings i was at -
{it was a GNHLUG organizational meeting} Dan York was kind enough to have
everyone go
around at Shorty's (above the din and chaos there) and introduce ourselves.
That eased some of the initial 'tensions' that were felt that A didn't know
B and C sure as heck didn't know A or B. I think the 'name tags' are a good
possibility - but i think the typical New England stance would be still in
effect - the "i really don't feel like talking to anyone".

I haven't been able to see any of the latest LUG meetings - mostly because
I get out of work too late to travel to Nashua and get there and then have
to turn around and drive back.

I know that the name tags (et al) may sound cheesy - but hey - it's the
only way some people can remember names sometimes.
