I hate to say it, but I disagree. For one, just how big a demographic is
the Linux community? I mean,
a) Relatively few outside of the Linux community would write up something
like the below (or, for that matter, even be able to), and
b) No Linux company in their right mind would try to win customers
from spam.
c) It would be more efficient to just subscribe to a zillion lists and
troll.
Regardless of the above, however, a quick trip to Altavista, with
+CCC +wr-121
turns up this URL:
http://cs.clackamas.cc.or.us/CLASSES/CS160/fal99-01/syllabus.htm
Hmmm... Oregon. I know a Portland near there. And it's a class that
pertains to, among other things, the discussion of the "ethical, social
and legal issues surround[ing] computer science" and providing a
"technical introduction to computing topics required for computer
technicians."
In other words, methinks it's probably best to look before you leap. Oh,
one last quote from the page (under "required materials"):
- Internet access. (This can be here at CCC, but access from home is great!)
-Ken (who *is* going to reply to this, and help out a budding Linux fan.)
