Don't take it as an insult. Actually, treat it as an honor for Derek to
be this suspicious of you immediatly. It usually takes him an hour or so
to get this paranoid ;-)

I have seen spam like this as well. The linux-ipsec mailing list is full
of it. Mass marketing companies send surveys to the list with Linux
thrown in every few questions to troll for marketing data.

This is true: "What kind of car you you drive?" did raise a bit of
suspicion. However, since you responded to the list when questioned, you
are either legit, or one of the best damn market researchers that I have
ever seen. Usually when mail is sent back to a spammer, it bounces....

I have to defend Derek's actions here. By sending it to the list, he was
looking out for the rest of the community members. In other words: HE
LIKES US! HE REALLY, REALLY LIKES US!!!! ;-)
