Hi,

A typical thing done to dual boot laptops with Win9* already installed
is to defragment the Win drive and then use FIPS.EXE to shrink the
partition. Then do the Linux install using the rest of the disk
for Linux partitions, and at the end of the install have include LILO
entries for both the Windows and Linux partitions.

Be careful about any save-to-disk "hidden" partitions, or other
things the laptop may need (windows or bios doing the save-to-disk).

I don't know if this will work directly for your setup, but I thought
I'd mention it as a potentially useful solution.
