Most of the commercial distro vendors (Red Hat, SuSE, Caldera, etc.) have
various types of support offerings, from installation to pay-per-incident to
yearly-contracts. See the vendor of your choice for details.

Independent support vendors also exist. LinuxCare is the most well-known
one. There are others. *handwave*

If you absolutely have to pay money for your support, then see above and
below.

On the other hand, consider your non-traditional support options:

  - This mailing list. There are quite a few people on this list who are
knowledgeable about Apache, including at least one fairly prominent member
    of the Apache Software Foundation.

  - Apache newsgroups and mailing lists. These can generally put you
directly in touch with the people actually witting the software, which
is a lot better than you'll do with your typical proprietary software
    product.

  - Internet search engines targeted at the aforementioned newsgroups and
    mailing lists.

  - Manuals, HOWTOs, and other online docs. While it is sometimes a little
disorganized, there is a tremendous wealth of information to be found
    here.

  - Books (dead trees). There is a lot of printed material on Apache, quite
a bit of it quite good, and covering more than you will ever want to
know. Not everybody can learn effectively this way, but for those who
can, a trip to the bookstore may solve all your problems.

  - The source. While not always cost-effective or feasible, if you have
the time, the answer to any question you care to ask can be found in the
Apache source. Even if you're not much of a programmer, searching the
source for a particular error message can often be quite enlightening.

The company I work for, Net Technologies, is a Systems Integrator
specializing in Linux-based solutions. Apache is but one of our areas of
expertise. From consulting to installation to support, you can call on us for
all your Linux needs.

There is also Mission Critical Linux (AKA The GNHLUG Employment Agency), but
their focus tends to be a bit, um, "high-end". I'm not sure if they do
run-of-the-mill support, too. Anyone...?
