Hello list,

I am wondering if anyone here has any recommendations for a network
interface card for use with Linux on a laptop. It would need to be a Type I
or Type II PCMCIA card (AKA PC Card). At least one of the laptops in question
does not support Type III cards, so those are out. It needs to support 10 and
100 megabit Ethernet (RJ-45).

I would prefer the format where there is an RJ-45 jack built right into the
card. Dongles get lost (or at least, *I* lose them). And the problem with
those little flimsy pop-out jacks (3Com "XJack", others) is that they are,
well, flimsy.

  I found this:

        http://www.dlink.com/products/adapters/dfe670txd/

at the local Best Buy, but it falls into the category of "so new, even the
manufacturer doesn't know they make it", and it does not appear to work with
Linux (I tried it under RHL 6.2, kernel 2.2.19, and it didn't know what the
heck to do with it).

  Any ideas?

  advTHANKSance
