OOTM: I'm a fan and supporter of public broadcasting (tv & radio), and I
know they are always looking at the bottom line of expenses. Instead of just
asking them to fix this maybe someone familiar w/ business presentations
could show them how much $ they could cut using a Linux environment.
>From my experiences, people involved in America's public broadcasting media
generally seem to share a similar "grass-roots", community-focused mindset
that is present in the Linux community. I think that in addition to the
financial aspect the freedom from corporate shackles and restraints might be
appealing. Of course, I have never investigated Linux options for streaming
media, but I'm sure they exist.
