  In all fairness, Intel has always marketed the regular Pentium II and
Pentium III processors as SMP-capable, and even made chipsets and
motherboards for them.  The Xeons get you the right to use more than two
processors, and more L2 cache.  And, of course, a throughly incompatible
connector...
