As the Membership Secretary for LI, let me clear this up a bit.
The Affiliate Membership is for Actual legal entities. Individual LUGs
can't join.
However; if GNHLUG joined forces with other LUGs in Mass, Vt, Ct, and
Maine; then formed a corporation (Linux - New England), and got some
corporate sponsors, then they could apply as a Regional Affilate.
The annual membership fee is one dollar. There is also a one-time
processing fee of $50, which may be waived at the discrssion of the
board. (So year 1 could cost $51, years 2+ would be $1
each.)
