Two hurdles still remain:
(1) Corporate Sponsors: Some (not all) of our members have to be
companies, that pay dues.�This shows LI's board that we would always be
turning to them for funding of GNHLUG events.
(2) Do we exist as a corporation in name only, or do we actually have a
board of directors and officers? Do we have an actual charter? These are
things the BOD at LI will want to see, as well as a membership list.
I was going to say (3) LI still doesn't accept LUG's as members, but
GNHLUG isn't really a LUG of it's own. It's actually an umbrella
containing all the Local LUGs (CentalLUG, MONANDLUG, etc.), so we may be
able to slip that thru. (Provided that in the membership list we list
the LUGs as members, rather than the individuals.)
If you're serious about this, and can name for me a contact person, I'll
be happy to put my LI Membership Secretary hat all the way on and
provide more details.
