I thought I remembered hearing two things:

  (1) That State non-profit organization status was merely a path on the way
to Federal NPO status, and not much use by and of itself.

  (2) That the general consensus was that Federal NPO status was not worth
it, and thus we were going to let the State NPO status lapse, and basically
put the whole thing on a back burner for now.

I am perfectly willing to be corrected, but I sure would like to know what
is going on. :-)

This is why we should discuss things on the <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
mailing list -- so everyone can participate and know what is going on, and
so we have a record -- and not late at night around tables at random bars,
where even the few people actually present at the table might not remember
in the morning. :-)
