O.k... There are worse POTENTIAL problems though. Like the fact that
riding airplanes is generally pretty boring. Marshalls may be likely
to fall asleep and be left in a compromising position. The opposite
problem is that marshalls may get jumpy waiting for something to
happen, and see threats where really there are none...

Well, my thought is that when an airplane is threatened, you lock down
the firewalls. Terrorists (and everyone else) will be locked in
wherever they are. The result would be either one of the two
scenarios above... the terrorists will either be concentrated, or
separated. Restricting their freedom to move freely is the goal, and
either of the two has advantages.
Of course, this would restrict movement of air marshalls and flight
crew as well...
