My favorite (and the favorite of others on here, as well, I believe) is
the _UNIX System Administration Handbook_, by Evi Nemeth et. al. The
second edition (the one I have) is almost strictly Unix, with one (1)
mention of Linux, but it was still darn good. The third edition has a
Red Hat section, and, IIRC, Paul Lussier is reviewing an upcoming fourth
edition that has a distinct bias toward Linux. Most any of them will
hold you in good stead, but I'm anxiously awaiting the fourth edition's
"public" debut. Ah, here we go: according to this heinously long link
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0130084662/qid=1015857757/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_4/002-0631893-0820840
it's due to be published on the 29th, for $50, and worth every penny.
