Is it an ISA plug and play card? If so, you need to run the isapnp tools to
configure your card.

Read the docs, it is pretty easy. You just do a pnpdump to create the config
file, Then edit it to match your configuration.

With Mandrake 8, the isapnp utilility is probably already in your init
config, it's probably just not doing anything because there is no config
file.
