Or so I am told.
I'll have to take your word for it. I downloaded the sources from NVidia's site under the strong recommendations of the guys from the Santa Barbara LUG (back when I lived on the Left Coast). Apparently, at least at the time, there were problems with the binary drivers and the (then current) 2.4 kernel. I've stayed away from binary drivers since then. > > > And the ABIT SoftBIOS is truly wonderful as well. > > What's a SoftBIOS? :-) The BIOS that comes with the ABIT boards. I've seen it called SoftBIOS and SoftMENU. In my readings, it has been very highly rated as all the options you'd like to see in a BIOS are there. This link: http://www.ocaddiction.com/articles/howto/kt7abiostweakguide/index.shtml has what looks like a decent overview of their SoftMENU III BIOS. It's for their KT7A board, of which I have the RAID version (integrated Highpoint RAID controller which can get you past the VIA chipset if you so desire). Anyway, it's featureful, just as a BIOS should be (but too often isn't). -Mike- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
