I wouldn't mind some information on debugging leaks also. I have the same issue, if I have gnome-shell running for a couple of days things grind to a halt, logout is the only solution I have found so far.
I believe in my case its a combination of running chrome and netbeans side by side all day long, but I would love some information on how I can determine whats actually causing the entire system to slow down. Note simply closing netabeans and chrome does not always do the trick, gnome-shell still requires a restart, however now I am thinking maybe it is one of my installed extensions causing the issue. Thank you. Matt.
