Well, Tom may have set an undocumented default, but it was you who created your archive in Bazaar format. It is still not late to convert this specific tla-development archive to tla format in minutes (probably faster than writting relevant release notes and answering such messages). Just create local MIRROR in tla format and replace the archive with MIRROR. Supposing, you care about old tla users.
