The GPL is now on revision 3, and has been written and reviewed
by lawyers. Their job is to implement the vision and goals of the
FSF to the extent possible.

1) Limited to the extent that all copyright license are contracts.
2) Limited to the extent that the viral "copyleft" principle is
preempted by 17 USC sec. 301(a).
