I think that is a somewhat unfair characterization. That the end result is quite satisfactory for KDE/Qt users may be partly attributed to the FSF not moving an inch, but "the parties reached" is really suggesting a kind of bilateral process that was not involved here. The credit for the current state certainly belongs to Trolltech.
