Oh, we do.  (At least, I do.  Seriously.)

There's nothing much wrong with the bracket; it wasn't aligned
properly (fixed by now), and its scaling could be done more
efficiently[1], either (1) by doing it in PostScript, (2) by drawing the
extensible part using tex primitives, or (3) by calling it a math
bracket and splitting it up.

I, for one, don't like the idea of making it in ps (I like mf),
especially as it already looks nice as a metafont font.  (2) and (3)
requires about exactly the same amount of work, so I guess it's a
matter of taste.  Drawing the vertical part in ps while keeping the
ends in mf would, I guess, require more work than (2) or (3).

Anyway, I'll look into solutions (2) and (3), ok?

[1] having a huge font consisting of brackets of different length is
not what I consider efficient, nor does it solve my problem: I may
want a bracket of _any_ heigth.  Yes, I may want a 25cm bracket (some
day).
