Well, here i am trying to advocate Lily's output, and i'm only getting
bugreports. Oh well, the problems seem not too serious...
Problem 1: Two weeks ago we branched Lily into a stable and an experimental
branch. We now have TeX and PostScript (preliminary testing)
output, and now the output from dvips is not self-contained
anymore (bug).
Problem 2: at 1.00 am i make a typo in an url (but there's even an
index.html in the containing directory)
If you don't have one of the latest Lilys installed, you'll need lily.ps:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~jantien/lilypond/out-www/lily.ps
(the need for this extra file is silly, and will get fixed in pl4 or 5)
PostScript output of MUP and Lily:
http://www.Arkkra.com/doc/star.ps
http://www.xs4all.nl/~jantien/lilypond/input/test/out-www/stars-and-stripes
.ps.gz
The input:
http://www.Arkkra.com/doc/star.html
http://www.xs4all.nl/~jantien/lilypond/input/test/out-www/stars-and-stripes.ly.txt

Then those would probably have been as trivial to fix as the problems you
had yesterday night ;-)
Please don't go around and nitpick on Free projects like Lily when you
have troubles, but report them! You don't have to pay for a support
contract or anything before you may send-in bug reports?! And most
silly problems you report /get fixed/. We get lots of bug-reports
(often with fixes :-) and those are invaluable for Lily's development.

It's all in Lily's documentation, and has been on display on her websites

Well, if "It doesn't work" any time soon again, be sure to let us know.
