I'd love if it was that simple.
Another option is to 'call' lily.bat whereever it is located.

But in both cases I hit a stone wall (because I try to declare too many environment
variables or too long and space is made scarce for them in m$windoze) see I don't run 
just
lily, but lots of other things that interact between one another so environment 
variables
are a necessity. Anyway, I'll give this up and use the shell rather than double click.
