For the fermatas, you could set the property
Voice.articulationScriptPadding to increase the distance between
the fermata and the closest staff line or note. If you want a
fermata on top of the line, write c^\fermata. If you write
c-\fermata, you will get it either above of below the line
depending on the direction of the stem.
