The short answer:  I don't have any idea (Jan would probably be able to tell
you, though, once he gets back from vacation).  But I'd guess that they *do*
get mapped to the same thing, since it's able to recognize them both and
print out the correct spelling in both cases...  IIRC, the chord handling is
being handled more in chord-names.scm than in chords.cc (I believe that
chords.cc is there *if* you *want* lily to try and figure out chords for
you--an extremely difficult task).
