I wanted to actually package XmHTML because there are a few Debian
developers lurking on this list who would probably be able to help
much more easily with gnucash if it were a Debian package (and so
they would want it to depend on other Debian packages not just
quick hacks).
Last night I packaged up XmHTML, I am uploading it to incoming now.
Getting XmHTML to build isn't so bad, but it took a bit of work to
get a shared library version created, and I had never packaged a
library before, so had to learn how to do that.
I don't expect major difficulties compiling gnucash now.
(in fact to test this I just tried building the Debian package
and apart from a few changes I need to make to the installation
directories, it works).
