You are correct that this is off-topic, but I don't really hear anyone
yelling "Nah this one is easier for everybody!". :-) Truthfully, my
remark about Debian's relative ease of installation is not even true for
me. I think that it easier, because the package management is cool for
the things that I do. For some other types (clueless newbies, who've
virtually never seen a text-based screen, much-less a command-oriented
UNIX shell), they may or may not have different results. :-)
Again, though, this really never was the point of the discussion, and
personally I don't care if you use Slackware, completely recompiled to
use .deb packages on top of a modified FreeBSD kernel on your kitchen
toaster. Hey, whatever works for you. :-) Ok, maybe a little
exaggeration there, but, uh, you get the point (maybe). :)
