Hello all,
I've been trying to compile gnucash 1.2.3 for quite some time now, and
have made some progress in the compilation process, but i still can't get
it to go!
Here's what I did this time....
I got the XmHTML-1.1.5 rpm from somewhere, and installed it (I'm running
redhat 6.1 here), then did
./configure --with-xmhtml-includes=/usr/X11R6/include/XmHTML
--with-xmhtml-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib
the first thing that is potentially bad that i noticed was:
.....
checking for jpeg_read_scanlines in -ljpeg... yes
checking for png_read_image in -lpng... yes
checking for XpmReadFileToXpmImage in -lXpm... yes
checking for XmHTMLTextScrollToLine in -lXmHTML... no
checking for nana.h... yes
.......
That bit about the XmHTML it can't find. Is this bad?
Then in the second part of the configuration, i noticed
....
checking for rs... nope
checking for guile-config... /usr/bin/guile-config
checking for scm_boot_guile in -lguile... no
configure: warning: Can not find Guile on the system
checking for scm_puts in -lguile... no
updating cache ./config.cache
.......
It couldn't find Guile on the system. Is that bad?
So then it finishes configuring, makes a bunch of makefiles, and i'm ready
to go.
I then do "make motif" ...... and off it goes...... Here's where the error
occurs:

I really have no clue what any of this means! Can anyone give me a hand?
If it's helpful to know, i'm running redhat 6.1, with gnome and kde, and
i've installed lesstif-0.89.0, nana-1.14, Xbae-4.7.1, and
XmHTML-1.1.5-1.i386.rpm, all without any apparent problems. Oh, I also
put on swig1.1p5.
I'm getting pretty frustrated! Can anyone help me out?
