Hi - I created an file (home) and entered starting balances in two accounts. Saved it - all OK. Changed user to 'susan' and made a month's entries. Clicked the save button... looked normal (ie: no errors). Then closed GNUCash and reopened... all the month's entries not there. I think I screwed up in not changing the group and permissions of the original file. My intention was to have it rw by the finance group (which richard and susan are members of). The ls -al output is attached. Can I recover from the log file? How do I proceed?? Thanks, Richard.
